Eczema and Itchy Skin Issues
After dealing with an awful case of eczema last summer, I finally feel that the itchy skin problems are gone. I do have still a little pinkness in my inner elbow, but that’s basically it. After getting several diagnoses from scabies to pithyriasis rosacea to yeast and fungus, an astute dermatologist said it was nummular eczema due to the little red circles.
I never was so itchy in my life. I couldn’t sleep for more than a few hours at a time without benadryl. And if you ever tried to go to work taking benadryl, that is not easy. I am not sure if you should even be driving when you take it. I used a lot of both traditional and nutritional approaches over those 4 months to finally clear it up.
On this blog we’ll get into eczema problems more and clear up some of the mysteries. You may just have it on back of knees or elbows. For some it is much more extensive. Moisturizing , showering with a sensitive skin soap in lukewarm water and not rubbing skin with towels or loofahs is very important. I also think that supplements such as flax seed oil and ways to normalize your skin are critical. When you have eczema rash it is easy to get discouraged and feel it will never end. You will be able to get relief, even if it’s not perfect. Remember that. I have some details on the itchy skin rash journey here.
